Identity & Communication Event held on 3-20-2004 "Tell 'em Who You Are!" | |
Tell 'Em Who You Are…
On March 20, the New Jersey Association of the United Church of Christ
is holding a conference on communication and identity. Designed to engage the people in local
churches who are involved in various forms of communication, the event will
build on the experience of congregations and on national leadership.
Participants
from congregations across New Jersey are urged to consider the following
questions (if you are traveling as a group, you might want to think about the
questions in the car along the way):
1. What does your church offer your community?
Especially,
do you see this as a special "niche" not otherwise being filled?
2.
What attracts people to your
church? What do they find special about your church?
3.
How do new people find your church? How and
what do you communicate to
your community and neighborhood?
4.
How do you tell your congregation about their
ministries through the United
Church of Christ?
Note: The “Tell 'Em Who You Are” conference will
be held at First Congregational UCC in Montclair, New Jersey, 40 South
Fullerton (one block south of Bloomfield Avenue). Coffee and goodies available at 8:30 a.m. Telephone: 973.744.4856 or 973.760.5997.
